Kyla Wedenko
Kyla Wedenko is a professional ballet dancer
and currently based in New York City. Kyla was
born in Washingtonville NY. She received her
early training in all dance forms in Goshen, NY
under the Marya Kennett Dance Theatre. As
Kyla grew older, so did her love for dance. Upon
acceptance into American Ballet Theater’s
prestigious ballet summer intensive program as a
teenager, Kyla began her pre-professional ballet
training under Nancy Raffa, David Howard, Brian
Reeder, Hilary Cartwright and other wonderful
teachers. In was in 2007 when
Peter O’Brien, of the Royal Ballet in London, spotted Kyla dancing at Alvin
Ailey. Ballet Master O’Brien invited Kyla to train with him, as his student, and
later became her professional mentor. In March 2008, Kyla became a
principal dancer and soloist for the P.O.B Ballet, which will hold its New York
City premier at the Promenade Relief Jubilee in the summer (2009). Critics
have acclaimed:

classes reflect her pure dance background. Kyla enjoys performing and

encounters!
